I do love busting out a new pattern. It’s bigger than I expected, which is ridiculous because I had the dimensions when I ordered it. Feels too large for a cushion. I don’t generally care for round robins, as too many hands usually results in chaos, but this could make an interesting centerpiece. Maybe a wonky striped border… And its monochrome and blue. Shocking.
Traded out the second darkest tone for something a smidge warmer and less likely to blend into the background. Always a crapshoot ordering fabric online. Wasn’t sold on the darkest bits of the wings, but if painting has taught me anything, it’s let the contrast ride. Need to keep to the saturated blues along that edge where possible. I wish the speckled grey were a touch warmer, but I’m satisfied overall. Still a metric shit ton of night sky pieces to prep, but I still have a lot of Wynonna left to binge.
Industrious little buggers. Tomorrow should prove interesting.
