Let me tell you how it ends

OK, this obstruction is making me guano. Flush the system — what am I most afraid of fucking up?

Tentacular, obvs. Can’t expect a long-armer to give the tentacles the amount of minute detail required to keep them together when the SAS2 eventually washes out. Don’t have the skill, the gear, or the space to free-motion the whole magilla at home.

So tackle the tentacle appliques here and let the long-armer handle quilting the fully stitched pieces onto the drunkard’s path base. It’s basic outline and line shading, only the medium changes. And it’s hardly perfect now – the fact that it’s an adequate approximation doesn’t make it any less of a prototype. Stop being a chicken shit and finish the damn job.

Pulled out an early SAS2 test case and did a few run throughs. Acrylic zig-zag foot is not awesome for visibility on the echoes, but dropping the feed dogs is more than I have patience for today. Darning foot goes back in the drawer. Going to have to work on that in the future.

Solution is workable; thread match is decent — fastest way out is always through.
