With all the makeshift repairs removed, the navy house twins were in worse shape than I remembered and the pullover has uneven stretch patterns on the split seams. They are a perfect worst case scenario. And they’re much more fun now.
Took about a week, but the basket is fairly neat for 2-thread. Still a high organic chaos factor, but the repairs are barely perceptible in any tactile sense. Bumped up to 4-thread to give the rent in the neckline more structure. Its clean and not overly stiff in relation to the rest of the weave.
Doubled up again for shits and giggles. There is something to be said for how clean the weave lies, but 8-thread is a chunky monkey. Should be fairly inoccuous on the shoulder seam, but would irritate me senseless on a sleeve. Reinforced the rest of the seam with diminishing butterfly stitches that weren’t intended for torsion and could have been much more even.
