Ran the first block without pinning it, then ripped out two of the seams and tried it again. It needs squaring up, but an excess 1/8″ on each axis is pretty much ideal. Tempted to square it up now, but I’d like to get at least a half dozen blocks assembled tonight.

As nice as it is to have a clean exemplar on the board, I may have to try wonky weave piecing at some point; the variable width and angles are interesting. For now, still got a ways to go before I have to deal with the non-symmetrical elephant on the wall. Better slow and steady than rushed and sloppy.

A few more seams pulled, but only a few. They still need squaring up, but, aside from a warped corner or two, nothing is obviously off. Hopefully I don’t have sloped edges.
