Finally dragged out the half dead house sweater I still can’t conceive of parting with. Some things are bloody perfect, even tattered. Time to put up or shut up in variegated thread. Few inches of goma-shio to reinforce the nape stitching and lots of basket and accordian darning to patch the holes.
Weave is getting straighter, but still tapering. Once the rest of the basketwork is done, reinforce the inner binding edge with more goma-shio, and maybe some tambourines on the binding itself.
